Monique Plunkett Staghorn

Melbourne based plant stylist & horticulturist Monique Plunkett has been gardening since she was a child, willingly weeding the lawn at 5 years of age and grew up exploring bush lands and spending time in her parents and grandparent's garden.

Monique has a Diploma in Horticulture along with industry experience, in sales, marketing and designing balcony spaces for inner city apartments for The Urban Balcony, Sydney.
Along with a love of greenery Monique's back ground also includes Graphic Design and has previously run her own textiles label Elkhorn, it seemed only natural and timely to get back to her one true love of plants and share this green adventure with STAGHORN.

Monique launched STAGHORN using her favourite namesake plant Staghorn superbumto create the Superbum Series:  A collection of three hanging wall designs; Squarebob, Captain and Kind Trophy
This great collection of plaque designs (made from marine plywood) bring out the quirky character of the native Staghorn Ferns.
The name Superbum comes from Staghorn's latin name Platycerium 'Superbum'
superbum - derives from the Latin superbus meaning 'superb'
'They are pretty 'Superb' but the kid in me can't help have a giggle at their namesake Superbum, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do creating them' xx
